Mechanical Attachments
Jibs, drum handlers, platforms and extensions
Mechanical attachments offer a cost-effective and versatile way to extend the capabilities of your forklift without the need for additional hydraulic connections. From fork extensions and crane jibs to drum handlers and working platforms, these robust tools are designed for easy mounting and secure operation across a wide variety of material handling tasks.
Mechanical attachments extend what a forklift can do without touching its hydraulics. Crane jibs turn the truck into a short-reach lifting machine, drum handlers grip and tip a drum, work platforms lift personnel for maintenance access, and extensions and bins cover the rest. All of them slip onto the existing forks and are secured with a retaining pin or chain.
For a fleet without spare auxiliary services, or for work that comes up a few times a month rather than daily, this is the sensible family: no plumbing, no valve, no downtime to fit. Where a duty becomes routine, it is usually worth moving to the equivalent hydraulic attachment, and we will say so rather than sell the cheaper item twice.

Capacities, jaw ranges and rotation are model-specific — the exact figures are confirmed against your truck and load when we quote.
Fits ISO Class II, III and IV fork carriages
In service on Toyota, Linde, Hyster, Jungheinrich, TCM, Manitou, JCB, Feeler, Yale and Komatsu trucks across the region.
- Hydraulic attachments run off the truck’s auxiliary services; where a truck has too few, an additional service or a solenoid selector can be fitted.
- Mechanical attachments slip over standard fork arms and need no hydraulic connection at all.
- Fitting an attachment changes the truck’s rated capacity, so the derated capacity plate is confirmed as part of the quote.

Mechanical Attachments — questions
- 01Do mechanical attachments need forklift hydraulics?
- No. They slip onto the existing fork arms and are secured mechanically, which is what makes them suitable for trucks with no spare auxiliary service.
- 02Can a forklift work platform be used to lift people?
- Only a platform rated and guarded for personnel, on a truck and under a procedure that permit it. We supply rated platforms and will not quote a bin or a pallet cage for that duty.
