Pallet Handlers

Single or double pallets in one cycle

The Single-Double Pallet Handler is a highly versatile attachment designed for the simultaneous handling of either one or two pallets. By allowing the operator to spread the forks hydraulically, it significantly increases productivity in high-volume shipping and receiving environments.

A single-double pallet handler carries four fork arms on a hydraulically adjustable carriage. Closed, it handles one pallet like a conventional truck; opened, it picks up two pallets side by side and moves both in a single cycle. The operator switches between the two modes from the seat.

On a high-volume loading bay that halves the number of trips between the trailer and the staging area, which is why the attachment is standard in beverage, bottling and brick distribution. It is specified around the truck’s derated capacity: two loaded pallets is a real load, and the arithmetic has to be done before the order rather than after it.

05Forklift compatibility

Fits ISO Class II, III and IV fork carriages

In service on Toyota, Linde, Hyster, Jungheinrich, TCM, Manitou, JCB, Feeler, Yale and Komatsu trucks across the region.

  • Hydraulic attachments run off the truck’s auxiliary services; where a truck has too few, an additional service or a solenoid selector can be fitted.
  • Mechanical attachments slip over standard fork arms and need no hydraulic connection at all.
  • Fitting an attachment changes the truck’s rated capacity, so the derated capacity plate is confirmed as part of the quote.

07Questions

Pallet Handlers — questions

01Does a double pallet handler need a bigger forklift?
Usually yes. Two loaded pallets plus the weight of the attachment is well beyond what a truck sized for single pallets can lift at the same load centre, so we calculate the derated capacity before recommending a model.
02Can it still handle a single pallet?
Yes. The forks close hydraulically to a standard single-pallet spread, so the truck is not limited to paired work.
